Join us on Tuesday, August 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a powerful evening of film, conversation, and connection during a special sneak preview screening of the upcoming documentary, Suck It Up, Buttercup. This intimate event will take place as part of the Attorney’s Resource Conference — and is open to both conference attendees and the public. View the documentary website here.
Suck It Up, Buttercup is more than just a documentary — it’s a bold, unflinching look into the cracks of the U.S. healthcare system, told through the voices of those who know it best: the people inside it.
From overworked clinicians and medical professionals to patients caught in a web of policies and pressure, the film gives a raw and emotional portrait of a system under stress — and the real human cost that comes with it. It shines a light on burnout, bureaucracy, and the struggle for compassion in an industry increasingly driven by red tape over real care.
The documentary includes first-hand accounts, expert commentary, and behind-the-scenes access that paint a clear and honest picture of the state of modern healthcare. Whether you're in law, medicine, or simply care about where our systems are headed, this film will open your eyes — and possibly shift your perspective.

This crisis affects not just physicians, but all healthcare workers and the patients and families they serve. We need to increase awareness of the dangerous dysfunction in American healthcare.
Together, we can break the silence and save lives.
Suck It Up, Buttercup is an investigative, emotional, solution-driven film featuring physicians, clinicians, patients, and other key stakeholders, exposing the frailties of the US healthcare system in terms of corporate greed, systemic bureaucratic failures, and a deteriorating work environment that's putting all of us at an ever-increasing risk. This is a close examination of health systems that have failed as well as systems that have succeeded and why.
