BSN, RN, LNC
With over 30 years of diverse nursing experience, Alison Brandt has worked in various healthcare settings, including urgent and primary care offices, medical-surgical units, and ortho-neuro specialties focused on brain and spinal cord traumatic injuries and orthopedic surgeries. In the cardiac ICU step-down unit, she managed patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, monitored telemetry, titrated cardiac medications, and managed associated renal, pulmonary, and other comorbidities. Additionally, she has experience as a circulating nurse in the operating room.
Following her many hospital years, she became a correctional nurse at a local jail that housed inmates ranging from minimum-security to maximum-security federal prisoners. In this role, she worked in an RN-run clinic for the sick and injured, supported inmate continuity of care, managed mental health and substance abuse issues, and triaged emergencies. As a Legal Nurse Consultant, Alison focuses on medical malpractice, personal injury, no-fault, and criminal liability for plaintiffs or defense. After completing LNC certification coursework, she gained experience in mass tort defense for several years before becoming an independent consultant.
Alison is committed to ongoing professional development, completing audit trail coursework, and nearing completion of forensic nursing certification. She is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) and its Greater Orlando Chapter, the LNC Exchange, and the Juris Educational Resource Knowledge for Legal Nurse Consultants.
